This Easter, my family spent the weekend up at my grandparents place on the shores of Lake Macquarie, sailing, speed boating, wandering, eating, laughing. My mum is one of six children, so naturally, our family is kinda big. We ate cake for the birthdays two weeks before and two weeks after Easter.

This house, and this lake, is full of childhood memories for me. Flipping the Flying Ant sailing boat in the middle of the lake with my cousin, countless pool matches, knot tying lessons, guitar lessons, putting on concerts with my mum's old dancing costumes, playing the organ, prayers, adventures in boats, walks along the shore. It's definitely a place I visit in my dreams often.

The home was built by my grandparents and is a huge symbol of family to me.

I went for a walk along the edge of the lake with my little cousin Jacqueline on Saturday afternoon after a full day of sailing and speed boats.

Jacqs is kind of the best.

And she took some nice shots as well, and put up with me taking five million photos of her (she's too cute not to though). She took this one of the flower, and the one of me. What a star.

And all the puppies came. This is the latest addition to the family, Banjo. Isn't he a cutie!
