Milwaukee

10th, 11th and 12th of August

After teary goodbyes, Jen and I drove from camp to her wonderful home in Milwaukee. Six hours later we arrived to be greeted by her parents and her new puppy!! Jen lives in the most gorgeous, picture perfect neighborhood. We crashed pretty early the first night!

The next day, we took the new puppy to the vet in the morning, and then headed into town to visit the Milwaukee Public Museum.

Unfortunately, the butterfly exhibition was closed, but I loved the 'Streets of Old Milwaukee' exhibition and the rain forest exhibition!

After, we hung out for a while before meeting up with another camp friend Melissa and having dinner at a burger place called Kopps. Then we went downtown to see a play at the Boulevard Theatre called 'Tigers Be still'. It was excellent and if you're in Milwaukee, check it outttttttt. After the play we hung out with some of Mel's friends before bed time!

The next day, I had to attempt to re pack all my junk into my pack before farewelling! It was so wonderful of the Pereles family to have me for the two nights I stayed with them and they were so kind and welcoming. Jen, Mel and I had brunch at Colectivo before driving to the Amtrak station for my train.

Saying goodbye was hard, but I know these girls will lead me back to Milwaukee in no time!
